Glossop, Derbyshire based TT, who have 425 employees based in seven regional offices, specialise in the design and build of cleanrooms, laboratories, controlled environments and process systems for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and healthcare markets. It provides turnkey packages of work or individual services such as the design and installation of mechanical and electrical services. Turnover in 2005 was £70 million.
“I see the acquisition by ETDE as a positive step for the future
of TT’s development“ commented Managing Director Nigel Frost.
A statement from the new owners said: “By acquiring Thermal Transfer,
ETDE is in a position to extend its expertise in air conditioning and M&E
services, two high-growth segments, and to broaden its customer base to
now cover the UK’s private sector. “
ETDE already has a presence in the UK through two companies purchased last year, bringing the total number of acquisitions to 40 in the last five years.
