TT encourages individual career development by making relevant training opportunities available. A full competency matrix has been developed for each occupation which clearly defines requirements for each role and enables us to look at your potential career progression path. The competency matrix is aligned with the salary banding scales so that individuals are encouraged to actively participate in their own career development.

Currently all probationary employees have monthly reviews and we are continuously reviewing our business objectives against the companies’ strategic plan and performance. This enables us to manage the business and identify any areas of skill shortage.

All review/performance meetings whether appraisal or probationary also provide a forum for employees to make their career aspirations known. These are then linked to business requirements and a personal development plan is devised, updated or amended as required.

We encourage cross-disciplinary training and development too and we are moving towards cross functional work teams and mentoring as we believe this provides more versatile employees.
